What is the focus of ‘Continued Professional Development’?

Aim

We aim to develop a whole school approach to training and development in line with the school development plan and the priorities of the school.

We aim to establish and embed systems that support the development of the school and our students, continuously improving the quality of teaching

We aim to work collaboratively across the school and share best practice. Developing internal leaders to aid the quality of teaching.

At the Meadows we want to ensure that all educators are equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge and strategies to provide quality first education to meet the diverse needs of our students.

Why is professional development important?

It helps teachers and support staff keep up to date with current educational standards and helps to ensure that all staff can deliver high-quality teaching and enable all our students to achieve and make progress.

We also want to inspire our staff, increase their confidence and develop a shared commitment to learning new skills and applying them to become more effective practitioners.

At the Meadows we offer a flexible approach to the delivery of school professional development and we use a variety of providers to ensure our staff have the opportunity to participate in effective training and CPD.
